Plumber Service Areas in Belleville
Every neighbourhood in Belleville has its own plumbing quirks. Pick yours below to read about the common issues we see and how we handle them.
Downtown Belleville
Downtown Belleville covers the historic Front Street area, the Bay of Quinte waterfront, and the older brick commercial buildings. Many residential units are above retail or in heritage conversions. Plumbing here is a mix of original 1900s installations and various-era updates.
East Hill
East Hill is one of Belleville's older established residential neighbourhoods, mostly post-war single-family homes from the 1950s through 1970s. Many homes still have original galvanized steel supply lines or first-generation copper. Cast iron drains are common.
West Hill
West Hill is another established residential area west of downtown Belleville. Mix of 1950s through 1980s single-family homes. The neighbourhood has slightly newer housing stock than East Hill on average, with more copper supply lines and PVC drains.
Bayshore
Bayshore is the waterfront neighbourhood along the Bay of Quinte. Newer development since the 2000s mixed with some older lakefront homes. Higher humidity from the bay accelerates corrosion on exposed pipes and fittings in basements and crawl spaces.
Thurlow
Thurlow is a north Belleville suburb, a mix of newer subdivisions and older rural-edge properties. Some properties are on municipal water and sewer, others on well-and-septic. Two different sets of plumbing concerns depending on which.
Cannifton
Cannifton is a small community east of Belleville along the Moira River. Mix of older rural homes and newer suburban development. Many properties on well-and-septic systems with plumbing patterns common to rural Eastern Ontario.
Foxboro
Foxboro is a rural community north of Belleville, primarily larger lot single-family homes on well-and-septic. Many properties have a main house plus outbuildings (garages, workshops, secondary suites) with their own plumbing concerns.
Quinte West
Quinte West includes Trenton and the surrounding communities, immediately west of Belleville. Home to CFB Trenton, the largest air force base in Canada. Mix of military housing, civilian neighbourhoods, and waterfront properties.
